Young and old, classes, occasional comics readers and serious fans.
The app is intended first and foremost for use by teachers and pupils in primary and secondary school. Co-funded by the Ministry of Education and Youth, and the BnF (French National Library), BDnF was developed in response to a call for innovative projects launched by the Ministry of Education. The BDnF app is the fruit of close collaboration between the BnF’s teams and classroom teachers, in order to meet their needs as fully as possible. The project was designed and tested at every stage by a focus group of both primary- and secondary-school teachers who used the app in real classroom conditions and gave us their feedback, making the app uniquely suitable for classroom use.
Above and beyond the classroom, BDnF can be used by anyone, young or old, whole families or individual comics fans, just for fun. There is plenty in it for budding comics creators too, because the creation tools make it easy to compose innovative formats.
